Sharon Cutts, aged 55, has become the oldest woman in the Great Britain to give birth to triplets — sons Mason and Ryan and daughter Lily. Ms Cutts spent all her saving and took $20.000 loans on IVF treatment to conceive a baby with her partner of four years Stuart Reynolds, 40.

In Britain IVF procedure for women is possiby only up to the age of 42, so the couple turned to a private clinic in Cyprus for help. After several attempts four embryos were implanted inside Ms Cutts’ womb, three of whom survived and were born via C-section on March 21.

Ms Cutts described her feelings: “I knew there was a possibility of multiple births because the doctor put four embryos in me, for a higher chance of conceiving. At the scan we were told there were three heartbeats. Stuart was shocked and I was in tears, crying with joy. The first thing I thought was: ‘Oh my God, how am I going to cope?’”

The unusual babies already have four siblings Emma, 26, Sam, 23, Charles, 21, and Amy, 19 — Sharon’s children from her previous relationship. She doesn’t worry about her age and is okay with the fact that the babies are younger than her grandchildren.

“We both have good, well-paid jobs and work hard, so plan to have the loans paid off in the next couple of years. I need to be fit and stay as well as I can. I spent 11 years in the Navy and ran four marathons. I know how to look after myself.
